報告簡介:
Thetransition to a low-carbon economy based on renewable electrical energyrequires the development of electrochemical energy storage and conversiontechnologies. These technologies rely on redox reactions taking place at thesurface of electrocatalyst materials. Notably, the utilization oftwo-dimensional materials, comprising single atomically thin layers, aselectrocatalysts has transformed the performance of such electrochemicalsystems. In this presentation, I will delve into the intricacies of isolatingthe electrochemical response from individual monolayers of two-dimensionalmaterials, highlighting how this nanoscale perspective has the potential torevolutionize the development of future technologies. By elucidating theprecise electrochemical mechanisms and properties of these materials, we canuncover invaluable insights that pave the way for the creation of moreefficient, durable, and sustainable energy technologies.
